Terms & Conditions

  1. You, the customer, agree that you are the legal registered owner of this vehicle and have authority to enter into this Agreement or have been authorized by the legal owner of the vehicle(s) to enter into this Agreement with United Freight of America, Corp., otherwise referred to as “UFA” or “UFA Services.”
  2. UFA’s U.S. Department of Transportation Broker’s License number is 680734 and is bonded and insured through Pacific Financial Association.
  3. UFA offers several types of services including but not limited to: Broker Service, Premium Direct Dispatch Service and Expedited Service.
  4. Broker Service Standard broker service posted on the load board with an estimated pick up within 5-7 business days.
  5. Premium Direct Dispatch ServiceDirect dispatch service assigned to a carrier upon booking with an estimated pick up within 3 business days.
  6. Expedited ServiceGuaranteed pick up on the exact day specified.
  7. All prices given for international transports arriving in designated foreign country will be for door to port transport unless otherwise noted. UFA will not be responsible for demurrage at any port facility. All vehicles being shipped overseas, including Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska must be empty of all personal items, including soft goods.
  8. Insurance for your vehicle(s) is provided by the carrier assigned to your move.
  9. The carrier will inform the customer prior to pick-up and delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to have the remaining balance at that time in the form of cash, cashier’s check or bank or postal money order only and payable directly to the owner operator, unless payment is made in full upon booking.
  10. The customer is responsible to have their car ready for shipping. Vehicles must be tendered to carrier in good running condition (unless otherwise noted) with no more than a half tank of fuel (preferably 1/4 tank). We recommend taking pictures before pick up and upon delivery.
  11. Prices given are for running vehicles unless otherwise noted as inoperable. If your vehicle(s) is inoperable or is oversized please advise your representative prior to placing your order. If the carrier assigned arrives to pick up a vehicle that has been noted as operable and discovers that the vehicle is inoperable, an inoperable fee of up to $250.00 may be charged assuming the current carrier is still able to load the vehicle. If the carrier is not equipped to load an inoperable vehicle, both the inoperable fee and rescheduling fee may be applied.
  12. Any modifications such as low clearance, roll and/or light bars, camper top, or pickup truck shell, extended body or roof line, oversized tires, lift kits or lowered suspension must be noted by the reservation department and it may affect the price. All vehicles must have a clearance of at least 6 inches from the ground in order to be loaded on to an open car carrier. Any misrepresentations of vehicle(s) may terminate this order forfeiting the deposit and a dry run fee of $250.00 may be applied.
  13. If an order must be rescheduled for any reason, a rescheduling fee of $150.00 may be charged and a new price quote may need to be provided as the original quoted price may no longer be valid.
  14. The customer may store soft items up to 75 pounds in the trunk of the vehicle(s). Due to DOT Regulations, items may not be packed in the front or back seats of the vehicle(s). No electronic equipment, valuables, plants, live pets, alcohol, drugs or firearms, may be left in the vehicle. Customer shall remove all non-permanent outside mounted luggage and other racks prior to shipment. Carrier will not be liable for damage caused by leaking fluids, freezing, exhaust systems, fog lights, or antennas not tied down. Carrier is not liable for personal items left in vehicle, or for damage caused to vehicle from excessive or improper loading of personal items.
  15. Transporters will get as close to your door as possible for the pickup and delivery of your vehicle(s). If, for safety reasons they are not able to do so, they will ask you to meet them at a nearby safe location to perform their duties. Customer or his agent, who has been identified in writing to UFA, shall be present at the point of pick up or delivery, unless otherwise noted prior to delivery. If customer or his authorized agent is not present at the time of delivery, the vehicle(s) will be placed in storage at the customer’s expense.
  16. Many variables determine delivery dates such as, traffic, weather, drop off points along the delivery route, etc., therefore UFA or its Agents do not guarantee a specific delivery date. As a licensed broker, UFA reserves the right to assign this estimate to one of our agents. UFA works solely with certified and insured agents. UFA will not be liable to reimburse for the rental of a vehicle in the event of a late delivery, nor shall it be liable for failure of mechanical or operating parts of your vehicle. UFA does not offer reimbursement for rescheduled flights or any added expense caused by carrier delays.
  17. UFA shall not be responsible and will not be held liable for any damages caused by the carrier assigned to transport your vehicle. UFA will however assist in any way possible to resolve claim issues with the carrier or its insurance company.
  18. In the event that damage is caused to the vehicle(s), the receiver of the vehicle must notate the Bill of Lading/Inspection Report prior to signing it. Customer must notify UFA in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Additionally, customer must submit in writing a description of damage, clear pictures from both pick-up and delivery, Bill of Lading from both pick-up and delivery and 2 estimates within ten (10) days of receipt of said vehicle directly to UFA for any resolution to be initiated. UFA will not accept responsibility for any negligence of the assigned carrier. If your vehicle is valued at a higher than market rate, we suggest that the customer purchase a special insurance rider. UFA or its agents will not be responsible for vandalism, acts of god (fire, flooding, hail, sand storms, tornadoes, and earthquakes) or objects flying from the road or sky during transport. Customer should maintain their own insurance for these reasons.
  19. Customer warrants that he will pay the price quoted due to UFA for delivered vehicles, and will not seek to charge back a credit card payment or stop a check to offset any dispute for damage claims or any other reason. If a chargeback is initiated after the vehicle(s) has been delivered, the customer will be responsible to pay all fees associated with the chargeback.
  20. Cancellation policy:
  21. Broker Service- the customer agrees to allow UFA 7 business days of exclusivity, which will begin on the date the order was placed and will continue through 7 business days from the first available date. If a carrier is not scheduled within these days, customer may cancel the order and request a full refund. If the order is cancelled during the days of exclusivity, the initial payment made will be non-refundable and a cancellation fee of $150.00 may be assessed.
  22. Premium Direct Dispatch Service- if a carrier does not pick up the customer’s vehicle(s) within 5 business days from the first available date, the customer may request to cancel and receive a full refund. If the order is cancelled before or during the 5 business days, the initial payment made will be non-refundable and a cancellation fee of $150.00 may be assessed.
  23. Expedited Service- if carrier does not pick up the customer’s vehicle on the specified date, the customer may request to cancel and receive a full refund. If the order is cancelled before or on the specified date, the initial payment made will be non-refundable and a cancellation fee of $150.00 may be assessed.
  24. If an order must be placed on hold at any point, customer understands that the price may change once the hold is removed, depending on market prices. All cancellation or hold requests must be submitted in writing by fax or email.
  25. Any refusal of allowing UFA and or the contract carrier to provide its services or any vehicle that is not prepared for pick up on the scheduled date will cause the customer to forfeit their payment and will be charged a dry run fee of $250.00 on the credit card used for the initial payment. If the customer chooses to continue with the order, a rescheduling fee of $150.00 will be charged in addition to the initial payment already paid.
  26. By providing your credit card information over the telephone to a sales representative when making a reservation request or make your reservation online, you are authorizing UFA to charge your card the agreed upon amount. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of your vehicle(s) and may be paid by cash, cashier’s check or bank or postal money order only unless payment is made in full upon booking. Customer understands and agrees that if payment is not ready at the time of delivery, the car will be placed in storage at the customer’s expense.
  27. This is a binding contract. By either submitting your order online, sending us your order by fax, email or DocuSign, UFA understands that you are placing your order and accept the terms and conditions (in lieu of your signature) found here and on UFA‘s website. You consent to the listed charges and agree that you have read and consent to the terms listed above. This supersedes all prior written or oral representation of UFA and constitutes the entire agreement between customer and UFA and may not be changed except in writing signed by a UFA representative. This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida. The parties further agree that any legal action arising out of this Agreement shall be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction within Broward County, Florida. You hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any and all defenses based on lack of personal jurisdiction. UFA can only be liable for up to the amount of the listed deposit/down payment amount located on your quotation and paid to UFA. In no case can UFA be held liable for the designated carrier’s damage. UFA will provide carriers insurance certificate and carrier information should any controversy arise.
